The AeroPress reusable metal coffee filter is made from premium grade 316 stainless steel, which is far more durable than the 304 grade stainless steel used in other filters.
Top Tip: Metal filters are more porous than paper filters, so it is expected that the water will pass through the filter a little faster than paper. To slow down drip-through, we recommend that you experiment with a slightly finer grind size. It’s also important with the Stainless Steel Filter to shake to level the bed of coffee grounds and pour your water in slowly in circular motions. Be patient during this process and you will be rewarded..
You can also partially insert the plunger and then pull upwards after you’ve added your water, which will create a vacuum and hold your brewing coffee in place until you’re ready to plunge.
