Frequently asked questions
How often should I descale my Moccamaster?
Descale every 2–3 months with regular use, or sooner in hard water areas. Run a solution of water and a citric-acid-based descaler (avoid vinegar, which can damage seals) through a full brew cycle, then run two cycles of fresh water to rinse. Regular descaling keeps the brewing temperature accurate and protects the 5-year warranty.
Should I choose the Cup-One or the KBG Select?
Choose the Cup-One if you mainly brew for yourself — it brews a single mug in about 4 minutes. Choose the KBG Select if you regularly make coffee for two or more people or like a full pot ready to go — it brews 4 to 10 cups in around 6 minutes into a glass jug. Both share the same copper heating element, 92–96°C brew temperature and 5-year warranty.
