The newest addition to our C40 Mk4 Nitro Blade® lineup - 'Alpine Lagoon' - is a homage to the beautiful colours of the Bavarian Alps.

Our local Alpine lagoons are full of serenity and incredible colours: an extraordinary turquoise that always glistens, whether in the sunshine in summer or against the snow in winter.

We wanted to put the joy and sparkle of that amazing colour onto our beloved C40 Mk4 Nitro Blade® so that we could share it with the world.

Our C40 Mk4 ‘ALpine Lagoon’ uses our super robust powder coating, is aluminium-free, and is 100% food safe. World-class grind performance. Engineered to last generations. Made in Germany.

Grinding coffee with the Comandante C40 Nitro Blade Grinder elevates the concept of “making coffee from scratch” to a whole new level. The 100% natural oak wood knob fits perfectly in your hand; the cool, unyielding stainless steel body with its reinforced grip as you turn the handle. The accessible grind setting dial on the bottom of the burrs is within easy reach.

The high-alloyed, high-nitrogen stainless steel burrs and double axle bearings guarantee absolute particle uniformity, up to espresso or even the powder-fine Turkish grind, unlike other hand grinders. The Comandante C40 Nitro coffee grinder includes a clear and brown jar for grinding into and storing beans. With intentionally engineered durability, the Comandante C40 coffee grinder is built to last.

The MK4: What’s new

The MK4 is the latest updated version of Comandante’s C40 nitro-blade hand grinder. In fact, the MK4 has been designed with complete backward compatibility, so all parts are interchangeable with the MK3 model. Fans of the MK3 will find a comforting familiarity with the design and performance while enjoying some amazing new features.

• The new ‘indestructible’ polymer bean jar is lighter and more durable than the glass one (also included). The polymer jars are consistently weighted so better to use in brewing competitions. They also boast heat insulation properties so can be used as a cup if you’re brewing coffee on the go!
• A freshly designed axel frame means there is now no chance of beans getting stuck in the engine frame
• Smaller box with improved protection and brand new manual; now completely made from sustainable materials.

All these changes make for improved workflow, weight, practicality and durability.
